Drop Off Procedures

Arrival Time

School doors open at 9:05 a.m.

Students should not be left at school before 9:05 a.m. Adult supervision is not available before this time, and students must not be left unattended outside the building.

 

Morning Drop-Off Procedure

Families dropping off students by car should follow this traffic pattern:

1. Approach the school from Holmden Avenue.
2. Travel west on Buhrer Avenue.
3. Follow all staff directions during arrival.
4. Continue moving safely and patiently through the drop-off area.

A staff member is typically outside to welcome students and support a safe arrival process.

Important Traffic Reminders

• Do not park on Buhrer Avenue for student drop-off.
• Do not stop in the roadway, as this blocks traffic and creates unsafe conditions.

Vehicles may only stop in a designated parking space.

• Do not enter the school parking lot or bus loop during arrival.
• Buses use the parking lot and bus loop, and children may be difficult for drivers to see.

Student Entry Procedures

Upon arrival, students should:

1. Walk directly to the designated entrance.
2. Line up along the wall.
3. Open backpacks for the security check process.
4. Enter the building one student at a time.
5. Follow staff directions and school expectations.

All students entering the building will participate in school safety screening procedures to help maintain a secure learning environment.

 

Parent Access During Morning Arrival

Parents and guardians are not permitted to enter the building during morning arrival.

This procedure helps maintain a safe, calm, and organized start to the school day for all students.

 

Main Office Hours

The main office opens for parent assistance at 9:45 a.m.

Students arriving after 9:45 a.m. must enter through the main office and obtain a late pass.
